Fairway Spur is a large 8-10 inch flower with gorgeous bronzy coloring. I think bronzes are maybe the most enamoring dahlia color there is because within that category there are pinks and apricots and oranges and yellows and varying degrees of muted-ness and vibrancy. I think they're gorgeous. You just look and look and see so much nuance and new detail every time.
Fairway Spur has a ton of grace to the way the MANY petals unfold and how they fade toward the tips. Such a beauty.
For me, the plants are short which is interesting for the size of the flower, though the stems are good for cutting. They are not super productive, which you expect for a larger flower, but man, they are worth the row space regardless. So gorgeous!
