
Oh, yes, these do look deadly. But, they're actually a sweet pepper! Some peppers do have a tiny hint of heat if they're all the way red, but then only around the seeds up by the stem. And even then, they're mild enough to give to kids.
These peppers make for great snacks and salad additions, as the fresh eating quality is excellent. And, they're also good for the saute pan--and in fact are super easy to chop into cute little rings. They make great pickles, too.
They're delicious anywhere from yellow to red on the ripeness scale, and therefor add a wonderful amount of color to whatever it is your making. They are at their very sweetest when they're all the way reddened up, though.
