Darcy is a really beautifully large 4-6 inch ball-ish formal decorative dahlia that ranges in color from melon to gold. Luminous and bold without being garish or highlighter-ey, I have a soft spot for yellows, and this is my favorite kind--where you just can't quite tell if you're about to call this color yellow, gold, orange, or pink.
The plants are healthy and vigorous and really make lots and lots of great cutting stems. Definitely give them support. Those big blooms can get heavy in a rain.
Shown at the end with MM Buttercream, which is a cool yellow in contrast to Darcy's golden apricot warmth.
I may refer to this one as Mr. Darcy when we're at home. He's just so handsome.
