Verrone's DF Dahlia Tuber
This 4-5 inch stellar form dahlia is such an excellent performing cut flower! These were near the first blooms in our field to bloom, and made a ton of strong stemmed flowers for cutting! The color varied with the seasons from being more blush over all to haveing a distinct white center petal ring with more saturated outer petals. Every way is gorgeous.
I was kind of ambivalent to the stellar form until I met this flower, and now I'm moderately obsessed. The way the petals reflex back with just a hint of a motion and sway--they're just mesmerizing, and almost as durable as a ball-form.
The stems are long and strong, not as slender as I've seen, but very workable. A really nice cut!
Compared to Alloway Candy these flowers are larger and have a tendency to be darker pink.
