A new intro into the Cafe family, Twist was a mislabel that I got from a wholesaler last year, and before I figured out who she was I kept thinking, "Gosh, you're like a Cafe, but stripey." And sure enough, here we are! She's got a very similar flower shape to a standard Cafe au Lait, but can reflex a bit more and show a bit of shag about the back end. For being a striped, muticolor dahlia, she's got a lot of subtlety and nuance and grace, instead of the bright bold contrast that I usually see in dahlias of that kind. Quite a pretty effect, overall. And she'll surely fit into all the same kind of situations that the standard would.
10+ inches, on the later side, middlingly productive. Gorgeous. Definitely offer support.
