Brown Sugar is gorgeous. She consistently stopped me in my tracks to photograph. This is another dahlia that is hard to capture the color of in photos, like Danique. But her petal reverse is a bronzy red, that occasionally has an almost pinky hue, and the petal-fronts are a brick red/orange/burnt sienna.
A really great ball-form dahlia in the 3+ inch size range. A beautiful fall cut.
The plant is healthy, upright, floriferous, early blooming, and tolerant of poor soils. Way to be a rockstar, Brown Sugar.
