Short-Term Application

Short term WWOOFers and volunteers are welcome to come and stay and get your hands dirty.
Stay for a few days to a few weeks to experience and learn some truly valuable life skills and lessons!

What we Offer:

What we expect:

An opportunity to get a taste for farm life! Folks will get to see lots of things like daily animal tending, planting, harvesting, milking and cheese making, community life, and so much more!

Full room and board for the duration of your stay. Short-term folks often bring their own tents and sleeping gear, though we may have other possibilities if needed!
*Due to COVID19 we are unable to offer shared meals or access to our home kitchen. Volunteers should come prepared with their own cooking gear, though they will still be able to access farm fresh foods!
Willing, helpful, excited people who really want to be here! Great attitudes, enthusiasm, and curiosity are all attributes of awesome volunteers!

Respect of our home, our animals and land, our surrounding communities, and us.

We completely reserve the right to ask anyone to leave at any time. This is our home, our refuge, our blood and bones, our everything. Being here as a visitor is a privilege, not an entitlement.

*If you're looking for a relaxing weekend away from the city, and thought a farm might be fun, check out our Hipcamp listing, and come see the gorgeousness of the farm, have access to the best produce, all without breaking a sweat!.

Transportation to the farm:

For those of you who will not be bringing a vehicle with you, there are a few options for getting here.
For coming from the Cities:
  • The Northstar commuter train. The train goes all the way to Big Lake, and then you catch a bus to St. Cloud. From there we can coordinate to pick you up. Route 877
  • Coordinating with our Farmers' Market schedules. It is quite likely that we can coordinate your arrival to coincide with a market and we can simply bring you home with us afterwards! Beginning on Saturday May 19th, you could meet us at Fulton Farmers Market between 8:30-1:00 PM.
  • Depending on what's happening on the farm, we have been able to pick up or arrange pick up for folks coming in from the airport--especially for international folks. Who wants to wrestle with our shoddy public transportation after a long flight, please just talk with us about it!
For coming from elsewhere in Minnesota:
  • If you can get to St. Cloud or Clearwater, both are right on I-94, we're more than willing to arrange to pick you up. Let's just be in contact about when and where.
  • Meet us at the St. Joe Farmers Market!
